Safety and customer service is what IMG is all about. Safety comes first with all IMG members, whether you are talking about the motorcoaches, the drivers, or the operations. As with maintenance, IMG members exceed the minimum requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) in safety measures. Motorcoach drivers are carefully screened for employment and must go through the mandated IMG Driver Training Program. When the IMG Driver Training Program was first initiated, even seasoned drivers were required to pass the proficiency test. IMG holds an annual maintenance and safety meeting where members work together to share success stories in the area of safety. Members also hold regular safety meetings within their own companies. The key here is that IMG has set the standard, and IMG members must meet those standards. In addition, IMG members are approved by the Department of Defense for carrying military personnel, and as such, are subject to periodic safety inspections for the DOD.
